More than eight in 10 dream of buying own home in next ten years

Research carried out by YouGov on behalf of the Council of Mortgage Lenders has revealed that 85 per cent of people who currently don’t own a property would like to own their own home in the next 10 years .

Further research undertaken by Post Office Mortgages found that over half (55 per cent) of would-be homebuyers would consider buying a property with their partner before getting married . This figure rises to 67 per cent for couples already renting a property together . Post Office Mortgages reminds potential home owners to research the best mortgage option for their personal circumstances.
